Abbotsholme School is an independent co-educational school which is located near the town of Rocester in Staffordshire, central England. It covers an area of 140 acres and currently has about 300 students from day school and boarding school. Only 4% of students from international.Students can experience a true British boarding life. Academic Success:
Abbotsholme aims to provide students with a balanced education through rich academic courses and a wide range of extracurricular activities. A Level is taking the traditional academic route, providing English, mathematics, science, business research and humanities. BTEC provides more practical learning directions, such as sports, agriculture and performing arts. Students can combine different subjects to get the most suitable course. The school understands that outdoor learning experience is as important as indoor learning. Outdoor activities include hiking, adventure and overseas trips, such as a sea kayak trip in Sweden and a mountain bike experience in Scotland.
Boarding and Pastoral Care for students:
Abbotsholme has a 70-acre farm, equestrian center and manor. By caring for animals and gardening, students can have a deeper understanding of nature and the surrounding environment. Abbotsholme is a small school, and every student gets attention and recognition. All preparatory students are supported by designated tutors, housekeepers and preparatory level leaders to help them choose the best way to develop academic achievement.
Extracurricular Activities:
The school encourages preparatory students to guide young members of the school. The 13-year class students have the opportunity to be selected as sports captains. This role is particularly important for organizing sports events and encouraging the participation of students throughout the school. In addition, sports clubs from all over the UK and Europe will come to the school for a week-long sports camp before school holidays to improve students' skills and realize their inner potential.
