Brighton College is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18 in Brighton which has the perfect location on the south-east of England and located in the calm and beautiful area of the heart of Brighton's Kemptown. The school occupies three sites, facing south onto Eastern Road. It is immediately to the east of the site of the former Kemptown railway station and in the sight of the sea and walking distance of the South Downs beautiful Countryside. The beautiful College campus is a short walk from the most famous Brighton Pier.

School Ethos
Brighton College has a motto unique among English public schools: it is in Greek ("Let Right Prevail"). In Great Britain, only one other HMC school has a Greek motto - Edinburgh Academy, founded in 1824. The College's motto comes from Aeschylus' play Agamemnon, written c.458BC. The first known use of the motto comes from 1849 so it may have been chosen when the school was founded.
International Scholarships
Every year, the college offer scholarships to pupils demonstrating outstanding ability. Scholarships are offered for 11+, 13+ and 16+ admission. Successful pupils are rewarded with an annual amount deducted from their fees which lasts through their time at the College. All pupils who register are automatically entered for the Academic Scholarship, which is suitable for pupils who are strong academically and have an additional interest in at least one of the five following areas: sport, music, art, dance and drama.
Academic Success:
Brighton College has recently been ranked by The Sunday Times as third in the UK for the academic results. The success in their 2020 Parent League Table, the benchmark for academic excellence in the UK, is the highest result ever for any co-educational school.
In 2019, the Sixth Formers have once again excelled, delivering a record-breaking set of A-Level results 44% of the grades were A* and 97% of grades were A*-B. 94.9% of the GCSE examination grades were 9-7 / A*-A. This is a record for the College, with The Telegraph listing the college as sharing the top spot in England for the results – among 2000 co-educational schools in the country.
University Destination:
In 2019, almost all Brighton College pupils proceed to higher education. The College aims to help all pupils reach the university of their choice. About 20% of the pupils are offered places at Oxford or Cambridge and Russell Group universities.
Boarding and Pastoral Care for students:
All Boarding houses have excellent facilities and designed to ensure a sense of community and comfort during and after school. The Simon Smith Building has become a social space for boarders in the evening, with a stylish cafe, outside theatre space, study stations and Wifi. The boarding boasts high tech computer rooms and a variety of recreational games in a comfy, homely and modern setting.
The girls' boarding house has a new design boarding house was awarded a RIBA architectural prize and was longlisted for the prestigious Stirling Prize. The first co-educational Sixth Form boarding house, Alexander House, is a renovated Victorian property with stunning boutique interiors.
Extracurricular Activities:
With world-class sporting facilities and dedicated coaches enable pupils to discover new interests and refine their techniques. Brighton College has a reputation for sporting excellence and continues to be one of the Country's best sporting schools.
Brighton College the ethos is very much about sport for everyone. They cater for all pupils, and for those who enjoy competitive games weekly throughout the year. Ruby, Cricket, Netball and Girls Hockey teams entered in the national competitions. Drama is one of the highlights in Brighton College and the music facilities are superb, with the recital hall rivalling the best performance spaces in the country.
