Queen Ethbelburga’s College is an independent co-educational boarding school and it has set in more than 220 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire. The College is situated between the image of ancient walls and a cathedral city of York and in a beautiful Victorian spa town of Harrogate.

Academic Scholarship
The Collegiate provides academic scholarships for the students. Scholarships are awarded to those students who show exceptional academic ability and potential. They are available to students entering Year 12.
Sports Scholarship
The Collegiate provides a range of sporting teams and opportunities available to students. Scholarships are awarded to those students who have represented their county, region or national team and can demonstrate a positive approach to both sports and learning. They are available to students entering Years 7, 10 and 12.
Music and Drama Scholarship
The Collegiate provides music and drama scholarships for the students, in addition to a complimentary weekly lesson in their chosen subject with a trained specialist. They are available to students entering Years 7, 10 and 12.

QE has continued on the professional development of quality teaching and one-year A-Level Programme especially for the international students of Hong Kong for those who have a qualification of the diploma of HKDSE. The students can take the one-year A-Level Programme at QE as a gateway to the top universities including Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities.
The Students in the Queen Ethelburga’s Faculty from Year 10 to Year 13 or the aged at 14 can have a variety of bespoke programme of learning which provides high-quality education and more attention to traditional academic subjects. comprises GCSE, A level and a range of BTEC courses. These provide a broad, stimulating and challenging range of qualifications for individual student needs.

University Destination:
In 2019 examination results it a great successful year, A level and BTEC examination results. Students in the Faculty achieved 70% A*/A at A level (93% A*/B) and 82% D*/D in Level 3 BTECs, (equivalent in UCAS university points to A*/A at A level). The Faculty students are also celebrating notable success with an outstanding range of the first choice university places, including Economics at the University of Cambridge and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Students in the academically-focused College achieved 80% A*/A at A level (92% A*/B) and 94% D*/D in the small number of BTECs taken to enrich the A level programmes, again with a strong range of first choice places achieved at Oxford, Cambridge, and other excellent UK and worldwide universities
Boarding and Pastoral Care for students:
QE boarding has modern facilities which support student development and provide a safe and productive environment to thrive. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, provide ample room to study and include private en-suite bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Sixth form boarders also have cooking and washing facilities in their rooms to reflect their growing independence.
Every student has access to the well-equipped common room where they can enjoy downtime and opportunities to get together and socialise as well as plenty of outdoor space.
Queen Ethelburga’s has a dedicated Pastoral Team who works to support the welfare and behavioural needs of all students across the collegiate. The pastoral team offer support for a huge range of concerns and worries, including, building self-esteem, exam stress, adjusting to change, homesickness, coping with a loss or bereavement, staying safe online, and help you to acquire the skills to overcome any difficulties for student’s life.
Extracurricular Activities:
The outstanding range of high-quality facilities on-campus enables us to deliver a wide range of sporting activities. There are eight performance sports at Queen Ethelburga's; Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Swimming. These sports benefit from higher coaching expertise, the opportunity to compete at a good level across different age ranges and the option to partake in Professional Sports Programmes.
The sports village has a 25-metre swimming pool, triple court sports hall, 100 station fitness suite and free weights centre. Outside they have a four-lane synthetic cushioned running track and over 30 acres of grass and 3G artificial pitches. QE also has a number of specialist studios used for; martial arts, wrestling, dance, gymnastics, table tennis, cycling, archery, fencing and boxing.
In addition to all this, the students can make use of an eight-metre climbing wall at the campus activity centre, which also houses an assault course, BMX track and additional tennis courts.
